Area Plan: Dementia
Consultation has concluded
This is your opportunity to have your say on the dementia section of the Area Plan that will set the RPB's priorities for the next five years.
We met with partners on 10 November 2022 to discuss what had been identified in the Population Needs Assessment and Market Stability Report as well as other key reports to try to find out where we should focus.
We have created five ideas boards. You can vote for your favourites by clicking the icon and, if you register, you can comment and add your own ideas. We would ask you vote for a maximum of eight priorities across the five boards.
This information will be used to inform our Area Plan and the direction of the RPB for the next five years. Click here to read the Cardiff and Vale Area Plan 2023-28.

A contact with BAME communities, education and understanding into dementia could start from much younger generation - at schools. We need a tailored course into dementia, taking into consideration age of participants and simply keep them interested in the subject. They, our children, would be our future of dementia friendly communities and they would be our 'face to face connectors ' with own family at first place They also would be capable to take their knowledge and understanding of the subject into wider communities.

Positive health enablers starts by connecting with people and understanding their health, their way. This takes time and resources, so requires a particular focus that comes from within the communities themselves
